Original Sega

Does anyone know where I can get a working, original Sega Genesis Console or Nintendo Entertainment System?
I’m not looking for that 2 in 1 system, and I don’t really trust ebay that much. If anyone knows where to get one of them that works, that would be great. Also, two controllers is preferred.
There are a few options outside of online to get a NES or Genesis. One way is to find a secondhand gaming store in your area. These shops normally have 1 or more of those consoles on hand and for pretty cheap.
Another method is to go to a thrift store like Goodwill. I regularly find the Genesis there, not the NES so much but from time to time they do appear. This is going to be the cheapest option although the risk is that the system may not work.
There are pawn shops but it’s been my experience that they overprice some of their stuff and you may end up paying more than you should.
Garage sales at rare times also have these systems, but it’s really a lucky shot at those places.
Hope you find what your looking for!

Alien Vs. Predator Games $10.37 Purchase includes free access to book updates online and a free trial membership in the publisher’s book club where you can select from more than a million books without charge. Excerpt: ESRB: MOFLC: MA 15+PEGI: 18+ Aliens vs. Predator is a science fiction first-person shooter video game, developed Rebellion Developments, the team behind the 1999 original PC game, and published by Sega for Microsoft Windows, the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. The game is based on the Alien vs. Predator franchise, a combination of the characters and creatures of the Alien franchise and the Predator franchise. It was released February 16, 2010 in the US, February 19 in Europe and February 18 in Australia. There are three campaigns in the game, one for each race/faction (the Predators, the Aliens and the Colonial Marines), that, while separate in terms of individual plot and gameplay, form one overarching storyline. Following the storyline of the campaign modes comes the multiplayer aspect of the game. In this Multiplayer section of the game, players face off in various different gametypes in various different ways. As in the films, the Predator prefers to stalk its prey from the safety of treetops and the gameplay reflects this, the player leaping from branch to branch automatically with the help of a “focus jumping” game mechanic. The Predator has different vision modes, the most recognizable from the films being a thermal imaging scanner, but the player also has different vision modes for spotting Aliens and viewing the world normally. Each vision mode only allows for targeting a specific race. For example, the Heat Vision mode allows the player to see marines, even at a distance, crystal clearly, while it renders Aliens nearly invisible, the Alien vision working in reverse, and regular vision seeing the environment and other predators better that the other two, making battles between two or all three species a tactical juggle to prioritiz… More: |

Aliens vs. Predator: Hunter Edition $99.95 Set in the science fiction realms of the film franchise crossover, Aliens vs. Predator is a high-definition action-adventure composed of tense, violent, kill-or-be-killed scenarios. Following the design concept of earlier AvP shooters, the game pits three different factions against one another. Players take the roles of deadly xenomorph aliens, stealthy predators, and heavily armed space marines, to do battle with enemies from the other two factions. Evolved to protect the brood, the alien xenomorphs are unmatched in melee combat, and excel at surprise attacks with their overpowering strength. Born of a species of hunters, the predator is a master of well-timed assaults and agile attacks. Physically weak but at a technological advantage, the human marines use heavy firepower to take down enemies from a distance. In many of the game’s levels, warriors from all three factions must fight against one another in the same battles, at the same time. Players will have to fight hard to survive, but it pays to fight smart, as well. In some situations, characters can manipulate the environment, or accomplish other puzzle-solving feats, in order to put their enemies at a disadvantage. Single players take the roles of each species in turn, as they progress through the game’s three campaigns. Multiplayer configurations are also available to Internet-connected gamers, offering the chance to play against other human-controlled warriors, in deathmatch and team-based competitions. Sega’s Aliens vs. Predator was developed by Rebellion, whose previous work with the series includes Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem for PSP, the 1999 home computer game Aliens Versus Predator, and 1994’s well received Alien vs. Predator for Atari Jaguar. In creating the game’s three-pronged storyline, designers took special inspiration from the original films and from the Dark Horse comics series. Packaged in a special steel case, the Hunter Edition of Aliens vs. Predator contains the complete game and do… |

Chapters: Mickey Mania: the Timeless Adventures of Mickey Mouse, Build ‘n Race, Meantime, Alien Breed 3d Ii: the Killing Grounds, Terra: Formations, Indiana Jones and the Iron Phoenix, Lamborghini. Excerpt: Mickey Mania: The Timeless Adventures of Mickey Mouse is the title of a video game released for the 16-bit Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, Sega CD, and Super NES. In the game, the player controls Mickey Mouse, who must navigate through various side-scrolling levels, each designed and based from classical Mickey Mouse cartoons from 1928 to 1990. The game was later released on Playstation in Europe and Australia as Mickey’s Wild Adventure. This is also known as the first game that video game designer David Jaffe worked on. Originally, Mickey Mania was planned as a game to be released as part of Mickey’s 65th birthday. However, as that would have only allowed for 6 months to develop the game, this idea was soon scrapped in favor of the more compelling concept of Mickey traveling back in time to his own original classic cartoons. The game pays tribute to Mickey’s whole cartoon career (released in 1994, the year after Mickey’s 65th birthday). Like many other games of its genre, the player must take on the role of Mickey and progress through each level, defeating enemies along the way and solving the occasional puzzle. Most enemies can be defeated either by stomping on them or tossing marbles at them. Frequently, the player must jump from platform to platform in order to advance, even occasionally within a small amount of time (such as when escaping from a collapsing tower). The levels in the game are based from the following classic Disney Mickey Mouse cartoons: The four versions of the game differ greatly from each other. The Super NES version is missing the… More: |

The series was produced and animated by AIC .There is also a manga adaptation, which is published in English by VIZ Media . The series is distributed in the US by Pioneer LDC , now known as Geneon . It was popular enough to be remade into a twenty-six episode TV series, The Wanderers , set in an alternate timeline. A second four episode OVA series, El-Hazard: The Magnificent World 2 and El-Hazard: The Alternative World , a thirteen episode TV series with a follow-up special later released on laserdisc , are continuations of the original OVA timeline. Fictional Armadillos: Infogrames Entertainment, Sa $9.05 Purchase includes free access to book updates online and a free trial membership in the publisher’s book club where you can select from more than a million books without charge. Excerpt: Infogrames Entertainment SA (IESA) was an international French holding company headquartered in Villeurbanne, Lyon, France. It was the owner of Atari, Inc., headquartered in New York City, U.S and Atari Europe. It was founded in 1983 by Bruno Bonnell and Christophe Sapet using the proceeds from an introductory computer book. Through its subsidiaries, Infogrames produced, published and distributed interactive games for all major video game consoles and computer game platforms. The founders wanted to christen the company Zboub Système, but were dissuaded by their legal counsel. According to Bonnell in a TV interview, they then used a mix-and-match computer program to suggest other names, one of which was “Infogramme”: a portmanteau of the French words “informatique” (information technology) and “programme” (a computer program). The final choice, “Infogrames”, was a slightly modified version of that suggestion, and is pronounced in English. The company logo is an armadillo (tatou in French), chosen when the company was moved to Villeurbanne. Bonnell commented: “This dinosaur is our symbol. The armadillo has always survived changes to its environment, from the melting of glaciers to the worst of heat waves.” In the late 1980s Infogrames was noted for its French computer games that often featured original game ideas and occasionally humorous content. They had acquired several licences for popular Franco-Belgian comics, such as Tintin, Asterix and Les Tuniques Bleues. In 1992, they released Alone in the Dark, a 3D horror adventure game to international attention. They also released, “Fantasia” for the Sega Genesis, with the player controlling Mickey Mouse on a quest to locate lost musical notes. In 1996, Bruno Bonnell’s Infogrames embarked on an ac… More: |

It is a localization of the Japanese Mark III game, Hokuto no Ken ( ? ), based on the manga and anime series of the same name ( Fist of the North Star in English). The international version was stripped of the Hokuto no Ken license, forcing graphic alterations to the game. Black Belt was one of programmer Yuji Naka ’s early games prior to his involvement in Sonic the Hedgehog . Plot and gameplay The player takes control of a martial artist named Riki, who sets out to rescue his girlfriend Kyoko from his rival, Wang. The game is composed of six left-to-right side-scrolling stages in which Riki faces different types of underlings (depending on the stage), facing the occasional sub-boss at mid-points of certain stages. Keeping true to the original source material Hokuto no Ken , underlings violently explode upon being punched or kicked. At the end of each stage, Riki must confront the stage’s boss, each being susceptible to only one type of attack. The player must exploit their opponent’s weakness and use it to finish the boss off. Localization Black Belt was originally a Hokuto no Ken game in Japan. The changes were the characters themselves and the backgrounds, as well as everything related to the property. However, the game mechanics are still the same and even the lesser enemies die by exploding into bits. A sequel was released for the Sega Mega Drive in Japan, which was |

Iron Man 2 $19.99 Sega returns players to the technologically empowered role of Tony Stark, for another third-person action-adventure through the Marvel universe. Iron Man 2 is based on the 2010 feature film and released alongside its theatrical debut. Following the style of the publisher’s original movie-based Iron Man game, the sequel features high-speed flight sequences, high-powered weaponry, and challenging battles against outnumbering forces and formidable supervillain characters. The control scheme has been refined from the original game, with developers taking player feedback into consideration. Iron Man can perform new martial arts moves in the sequel, allowing players to engage in hands-on combat with powerful bosses. The game’s environments are more completely destructible, creating new offensive possibilities as well as defensive concerns. Additional weapons become available to help players meet these new challenges. The game’s story was authored by comic book writer Matt Fraction, and combines plot elements from the film with Iron Man comic book lore. In a side plot not featured in the movie, the hero fights his regular comic book rival, the battle-suited Crimson Dynamo. High-stakes challenges threaten ultimate defeat through each chapter of action, and the game concludes with the fate of the entire world once again in the weapon-clad hands of the invincible Iron Man. ~ T.J.
